Usage of Common Inductive Switches

August 25,2022

An induction switch is a switch that automatically starts when someone passes through the infrared induction detection area. It has the advantages of flexible use, stable performance, flexible use, and high reliability. What should users pay attention to when using the induction switch?

Precautions for use of induction switch

  1. The induction switch can be divided into 86-type induction switch and ceiling-type induction switch.

  1. Type 86 inductive switch is the same size as the traditional mechanical wall switch and can directly replace the original wall switch.

  1. The installation method of the ceiling-type induction switch is similar. Open a 60mm diameter round hole L, N, lout, and not on the ceiling to connect the live line incoming line, zero line incoming line, live line outgoing line, and zero line outgoing line respectively. After connecting the wire, buckle the switch into the ceiling; If there is no ceiling in the installation environment, the top box of the switch can be locked on the top with screws, and then the switch can be screwed into the bottom box.

  1. Since the sensing range of the left and right sides of the switch is larger than that of the upper and lower sides when installing the switch, the positive axis should be perpendicular to the direction of the walking channel as far as possible, to achieve the best sensing effect.

  1. After the switch is installed, power on. When the ambient light is sufficient, the bulb will flash three times. After one minute, the initialization is completed, and the switch will enter the monitoring state. Cover the ambient light with an object to make the switch work. If people do not leave and are active, the switch will continue to work; After the person leaves, the switch automatically delays closing the load.

  1. Power up after the switch is installed. When the ambient light is insufficient, the switch will directly enter the monitoring state. The switch will continue to work if people do not leave and are active.

  1. If you are not satisfied with the delay time or the light-sensing value. You can adjust it through the "timer" and "dimmer" on the back of the 86-type wall switch. The former adjusts the delay of time and the latter adjusts the light sensing value. When adjusting, use a straight screwdriver to gently twist, and do not use too much force. For the ceiling-type induction switch, open the cover to see the adjustment potentiometer.
